Leo Charms
Physical traits
Many astrologers believe that each sign of the zodiac has its own identifying physical traits. Some think of Leos as being usually tall, with thin waists, trim athletic legs, strong physical features, well-defined appendages (hands, feet, etc.). They are said to be tending to keep their head held high and look down their noses at others, and have a mane of thick hair.
Compatibilities
Leo is widely thought to be compatible with same element signs, Aries and Sagittarius. Leo is also often considered to be good with Gemini.
There are many variables that determine compatibility in astrology, such as birth dates, birth months, birth years, position of a sign within the Sun, the Moon, Stars, etc. The signs listed as compatible with Leo do not reflect an individual profile or individual reading as interpreted within astrology, but rather reflect a general guideline and reference to compatibility as dictated by variables such as Qualities and Elements within the Zodia

John McCormack: The Acoustic Victor and HMV Recordings (1910-11)ReviewsThese are old recordings, so quality isn't perfect, but these are beautiful songs, beautifully sung. Considering you get two discs, it's a bargain. It seems a crime that, in order to get John McCormack singing "I'm Falling in Love with Some One," you have to shell out big bucks for this CD. I can't abide opera, and there are too many arias here sung in foreign languages to justify a capital investment. McCormack also does a striking rendition of "Because," which is missing from this CD. maybe we'll get lucky and Archeophone will put together a few disks, all in English, and I'd pay their price, steep though it usually is. All of the World's Most Beautiful Melodies (Box Set)ReviewsI agree with both other reviewers re the duo coronet/organ arrangements on SOME of the bands of Disk #2 I have, but McCann plays them very well and the organ is fine if you like the organ (which I don't). BUT, the OTHER BANDS include orchestra and on ALL bands McCann really plays beautifully. However, I will not buy another disk of these because of the duo performance bands and - WHAT A SHAME as ALMOST ALL THE PIECES REALLY ARE AMONG WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL and MANY are very difficult, if not impossible, to find ANY arrangement of (though at least half on each cd readily avail other perfs arrangements). Thought I was purchasing a nice compendium of beautiful songs to listen to on long trips. You'd better love the golden cornet if you buy this CD - or, rather, 5 CDs! This CD set has all the greatest melodies... only they are performed by some guy and his "golden cornet" (a horn). There is accompaniment by an organ. This set WOULD have been great, IF it was performed by a piano. Huge disappointment. Would have been nice to know what instrument was used to begin with. Average Rating:![]() |

Napoleon DynamiteReviewstruly an offbeat film...if you liked films like hamlet II you'll like this one too...if you havent seen hamlet II (2) check it out........ What an odd movie, but I completely adore it! Strange?!! I quote lines from it constantly with friends....why?! Because it's quite hilarious!! Makes great points about family, friends, life. Too much quirky fun! At my school, Napoleon Dynamite is considered a classic, but to me, it is a waste of time. It stars Jon Heder, as Napoleon, the main character. He's a weird character, and for some reason people find him and his jokes funny. Here's the level of humor we're dealing with here: "You're a fat lard." (You're supposed to laugh at that.) And, get this, Napoelon plays dodgeball with himself. Again, this isn't funny, it just kinda weird. If you laughed at the above jokes, you'll like this movie; but if you didn't, like me, this will be a complete waste of your time. Compared to the DVD, the blu-ray yields better definition, which means more accurate colors, greater detail, is more three dimensional, and the sound design is far more balanced. It's not leaps and bounds above the DVD transfer, but it certainly is better. Plus, I don't have to contend with that double sided DVD trying to determine which side is widescreen and which is crappy pan & scan(full screen). Luckyyyy! The humor in the film isn't seemingly obvious, like other comedies, but is rather subtle. So, you will probably laugh to yourself, rather than outloud. In any case, the film is worth checking out. A low-budget production, which gets the most out of it's limited resources. Average Rating:![]() |

CharmsReviewsThis oddball film from the early 70's has Keith Carradine, Gary Busey & Scott Glenn as 3 post-WW1 biker-types that run afoul of townies in a small burg in Nebraska and end up hiding out on the farm of two odd sisters, both of whom seem rather witchy. Their father was Indian, apparently, and taught them lots of things, like how to gather and smoke loco-weed, which their new friends rather like, actually. This has some odd and spooky elements to it which are unfortunately overshadowed by an innate goofiness that keeps creeping into the film at all the wrong times, and that includes the kazoo/vaudeville/jaw harp music that will leave you wanting to rip your hair out. In short, I don't think this film knows exactly what it wanted to be, therefore I really wasn't sure what to make of it. 2 out of 10, had potential but squandered it. Average Rating:![]() |
